Ambio

A Journal of Environment and Society

Publishing model:

Overview

Ambio publishes research for a global audience on the interrelationships between environment and society with focus on both the natural and the social dimension of sustainability challenges. Its ambition is to publish research that speaks to an inter- and transdisciplinary audience within and beyond academia. Publications may lean more heavily on either natural or social sciences, but require a focus on the link between environment and society.

Original contributions can be submitted as Research articlesReviewsPerspectivesNews, or Comments. The five categories offer complementary options for presenting novel results and ideas. Please also check the Collections and calls for papers to find our Special Issues and Topical Collections.

Ambio's dedicated group of editors assist the authors with the preparation of their article for publication and broadening the scientific and societal impact of their research. Please read their bios in the Journal Updates.

Desk rejections are made within one week and decisions following external review are normally taken within two months.

For more details, please visit the Aims and Scope section.
