The World Biodiversity Database CD-ROM Series was set up by ETI based on an initiative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to provide scientists, students, and other interested parties all over the world with easily accessible high-quality taxonomic and ecologoigcal information on the world's biological diversity. This series of electronic publications provides the user with a unique digital library of basic information on species and higher taxa.
