About the Editor
Academician Guodong Wang has long been engaged in the research of application foundation and engineering technology in the fields of steel rolling theory, technology, automation, etc. A series of subversive and original achievements have been made in the aspects of digitalization and intelligence of rolling process, basic research and industrialization technology of thin strip continuous casting, and development and construction of rolling process R&D platform. He has won 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 second prize of the National Technology Invention Award, 23 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress prizes above the second prize, and 13 metallurgical and industry science and technology awards. He has published 9 books and translated 4 books.
Professor Zhouhua Jiang won 1 first prize and 2 second prizes in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 12 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards, and won the "1906 Award" of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Professor Miaoyong Zhu presided over and undertook more than 60 national innovation plan projects, national major equipment localization innovation projects, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and major cooperative scientific research projects of enterprises. He has published 4 books and translations, published more than 230 academic papers, 182 of which were included by SCI and EI journals, and won 9 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards (2 first prizes, 3 second prizes). In addition, he has authorized and published 52 national invention patents and won the Wei Shoukun Science and Technology Education Award (Youth Metallurgical Award).
Professor Zhaodong Wang presided over and undertook more than 40 government-aided projects such as key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, “973” and“ 863 ”scientific and technological support projects and major enterprise technology development projects in medium and heavy plates, hot continuous rolling ultra-fast cooling equipment and medium and heavy plates. He has developed roller quenching machine equipment and process technology, developed a series of high-performance steel products, and promoted and applied to many steel enterprises. He has won the Outstanding Academic Paper Award of China Association for Science and Technology once, and obtained 16 authorized invention patents and 5 software copyrights. He has won 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 7 provincial and ministerial first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 1 third prize. He has published more than 130 academic papers, of which more than 70 are included in SCI/EI journals, and won the title of Outstanding Young Scientist in the National Metallurgical System.
Professor Zhenyu Liu is mainly engaged in the research of high-quality steel microstructure control and surface oxidation behavior control. He got his Ph.D. degree in University of Auckland, New Zealand, and once worked as a senior researcher in JSPS, Hokkaido University, Japan. He is engaged in the research of advanced steel materials and rolling technology, and is in the process of researching or completing more than 40 government-aided projects such as key projects and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, "973", "863" and scientific and technological support projects and major technology development projects of enterprises. He has published 2 monographs, 1 translated book, and more than 300 papers. He has authorized more than 50 national invention patents, and has been awarded 12 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, including 7 first prizes. In 2004, he was awarded the "New Century Excellent Talent" by the Ministry of Education; in 2011, he was awarded the special allowance of the State Council.
Professor Jianping Li has won 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 9 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards (including 2 first prizes and 7 second prizes), 8 national invention patents, and presided over 6 provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievements appraisal projects. He has also published 3 books, and undertaken more than 60 special projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Support Program and major development projects.
Professor Yuexin Han has presided over 1 national key R&D project of the "13th Five-Year Plan", 2 key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 1 general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and completed the science and technology support plan project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and other key basic research projects. He has also completed 7 national vertical projects such as planning projects and major international cooperation projects, and 2 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and presided over more than 100 horizontal scientific research projects. He has published more than 300 academic papers, 4 academic books, and edited 1 textbook in mineral processing specialty planning for the Ministry of Education Geology and Mineral Resources, authorized 17 national invention patents, won 4 first prizes and 3 second prizes of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards.
Professor Dianhua Zhang has developed the full-process automatic control system for hot continuous rolling, cold continuous rolling and medium and heavy plate rolling with independent intellectual property rights, has formed a relatively complete plate and strip rolling theory and process technology system, which have been successfully applied in the production line. He has presided over more than 10 national key R&D projects and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, such as "Key Technologies for Intelligent Preparation of Flat Products in the Whole Process", "Fault Diagnosis and Self-Healing Control of Steel Rolling Process Based on Large-scale Data Drive". He has published more than 120 papers and obtained 8 patents. He has won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards, and 1 Metallurgical Science and Technology Award.
Professor Shixin Liu has long been engaged in research on theoretical methods and technologies such as intelligent optimization methods, machine learning, and intelligent manufacturing. In recent years, he has undertaken more than 50 national key R&D projects, key projects and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, "863", Natural Science Foundation of Liaoning Province and large-scale enterprise scientific research projects. He has applied for 15 national invention patents, published 1 monograph, and published more than 110 papers in important academic journals and conferences at home and abroad.
Professor Yimin Zhu's main research directions are flotation chemical principles and mineral material chemistry. Undertook more than 30 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the national "973" plan. He has won 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 first prize of the provincial and ministerial level for the scientific research projects he participated in. He has written more than 100 scientific research papers and more than 10 national invention patents, and published 3 academic works.
