Biochar - Special issues of this journal follow Single-blind peer review

All special issues of this journal follow a single-blind reviewing procedure. This means author identities are known to peer reviewers, but peer reviewers' identities are not revealed to the authors.

The Editor-in-Chief preliminary evaluate the manuscript and is entitled to reject the manuscript before the review process if the manuscript does not follow the Guidelines for Authors or if the contents and language do not meet the standard of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief then assigns each manuscript to Guest Editors to process the manuscript.

The Guest Editors select the referees and correspond with the authors. When a revised manuscript is submitted, all review comments should be carefully addressed and all changes should be clearly marked in color.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision as to whether the manuscript is accepted.
