Journal of Peridynamics and Nonlocal Modeling - Welcome to new Editorial Board Member Dr. Esmaeal Ghavanloo

Esmaeal Ghavanloo was born in Shiraz (Iran) in 1985. He received B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Shiraz University in 2007, 2009 and 2013, respectively, all in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Ghavanloo is currently Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Shiraz University, Iran. His research interests include size-dependent continuum theories, mechanics of nanoscopic structures and metamaterials. Throughout his academic career, Esmaeal has published more than 85 peer-reviewed articles in high prestigious journals. He is the first author of a book entitled “Computational Continuum Mechanics of Nanoscopic Structures” which has been published by Springer in 2019. He is also the lead editor of a book “Size-Dependent Continuum Mechanics Approaches” published by Springer in 2021. He is a member of Editorial Boards and an active reviewer of international journals. He has recognized by Stanford University’s list of the world’s Top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists in Single Year Citation Impact 2019 and 2020. In 2021, Dr. Ghavanloo has won COMSTECH Award for Best Scientific Book.
