Astrodynamics - Call for Papers: “Special Issue on Multi-Spacecraft and Multi-Target Orbital Dynamics and Control”

With the development of aerospace technology, the multi-spacecraft and multi-target problem is an important topic in aerospace. The target can be ground site, spacecraft, space debris, celestial body, etc. In the missions of constellation and formation, Earth observation, deep space exploration, on-orbit service, and pursuit and evasion game, it usually needs to consider multiple spacecraft and multiple targets, e.g., spacecraft constellation design and control, spacecraft formation design and control, multi-target observation mission planning, multi-target trajectory optimization, multi-missile collaborative guidance and control. These problems put forward new challenges to the methods for spacecraft dynamics, guidance and control, and trajectory optimization. Topics for this special issue include methods and possible applications of multiple spacecraft and multiple targets related with, but are not limited to:

  • Constellation design and control
  • Formation design and control
  • Multi-target observation mission planning
  • Multi-target trajectory optimization
  • Multi-missile collaborative guidance and control
  • Pursuit and evasion game
  • Space objects tracking

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

For authors who want to submit manuscripts to our Special Issue, please first refer to the “Instructions on Special Issues of Astrodynamics” on the journal homepage first to learn the handling procedures and quality standards that are specially for Special Issues. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their completed manuscript to https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/astrod with “Special Issue: Multi-Spacecraft and Multi-Target Orbital Dynamics and Control” marked in the cover letter section. Astrodynamics is a peer-reviewed international journal that is quarterly co-published by Tsinghua University Press and Springer, on behalf of the School of Aerospace Engineering of Tsinghua University. The high-quality peer-reviewed articles of original research, comprehensive review, mission accomplishments, and technical comments in all fields of astrodynamics will be given priorities for publication. In addition, related research in astronomy and astrophysics that takes advantages of the analytical and computational methods of astrodynamics is also welcome. Astrodynamics has been indexed in ESCI, Scopus, and Ei Compendex.
