Journal of Iberian Geology - Special issue: A tribute to Professor Federico Olóriz

This Special Issue is conceived by some former PhD students of Prof. Federico Olóriz as a tribute to his extensive scientific career in Earth Sciences, and more exactly in the Paleontology. It includes contributions by many of his research colleagues as well as former students, whose work has been greatly influenced by him. Inevitably, the diversity of works compiled in this volume tends to reflect Federico’s interest and research in paleontology and stratigraphy.
The Special Issue is constituted by contributions on topics such as invertebrate paleontology, micropaleontology, paleoecology, ecostratigraphy, ichnology, geochemistry, and sequence stratigraphy, among other topics. Proposed works include basins and outcrops from Europe (Italy, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain), Africa (Tunis) and America (Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Mexico), and different time intervals within the Mesozoic and Cenozoic.
