Water Conservation Science and Engineering - Congratulations to Editorial Board Member, Leo Choe Peng!

We are proud to announce that Dr Leo Choe Peng, Editorial Board Member of Water Conservation Science and Engineering, has been named Top Research Scientists Malaysia 2022.

Ir. Dr. Leo generates knowledge in Membrane Science and Technology to bridge the gap between science and industry. She is an associate professor in School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her research focuses on the engineering aspects of membrane innovations for carbon capture and water reuse. She has published more than 120 indexed journal papers. A total citation of 3399 and h-index of 30 have been recorded in SCOPUS. Her scientific works were funded by the Royal Society (UK), Royal Academy of Engineering (UK), NICT (Japan), American Chemical Society (US), Sime Darby, Malaysia Rubber Council and more in the past. Besides Top Research Scientists Malaysia, she was named as the finalist of the AGFD Young Scientist Award (American Chemical Society), the recipient of the Women in Science Award (Ton Duc Thang University), Bintang Cemerlang Negeri (Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang), Pioneers of Change Award (Penang Women’s Development Corporation), and Leader in Innovation Fellowship (Royal Academy of Engineering). Her engineering innovations also granted Real Tech Holdings Award of the Tech Planter Asia 2022, the Grand Winner Award of Tech Plan Demo in Malaysia, the Mitsui Chemicals Award, and gold medals in several exhibitions (MTE, ITEX, PENCIPTA, and IENA). She served as the honorary secretary of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (Penang Branch),the committee for the American Chemical Society- Malaysia Chapter and Institute of Materials Malaysia.
