Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery is a Hybrid journal, meaning that it publishes both subscription and Open Access articles. By default, journal publications are paywalled and available by subscription only. Authors are never asked to pay a fee at any stage of the editorial evaluation process. Following their paper's acceptance, authors may choose to publish in Open Access format to widen the reach and amplify the impact of their work.
