International Journal of Advances in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics - Upcoming Special Issue: Ester Fluids as Insulant in Power Apparatus

Upcoming Special Issue: Outdoor Polymeric Insulators

Dielectric liquids are used as insulant as well as coolant in electrical power apparatus, which forms an integral part of the transmission and distribution networks. In recent times, ester based fluids are replacing the mineral oil because of its inherent advantages with improved dielectric properties. The literature on dielectric properties of ester fluid and ester based nano fluids and its usage as insultants are limited.

With the above views and to benefit the researchers, manufacturers, and utilities, we have planned to bring out a special issue on ester fluids as insulant in power apparatus, in the International Journal of Advances in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics, Springer publishers (No APC charges, regular two blind reviews ought to be carried out with all submitted manuscript) focusing on the following topics:

  • Performance of natural ester insulating fluids as insulant in electrical equipment
  • Ester based nano fluids its advantages and limitations
  • Modelling of discharges in liquid insulants under different voltage profiles
  • Mechanisms of failures in Ester fluids
  • Estimation of life of ester based fluid as insulant and application of data analytics in dielectric fluids.
  • Blended esters and mixtures with esters for electro-technical applications.

Deadlines:

Submission Deadline: 1st May 2023.
