The International Journal of Computer Vision is happy to announce our 2024 Outstanding Reviewers, as well as a new award for Outstanding Editorial Board Member.

2024 Outstanding Editorial Board Member award

Similar to our Outstanding Reviewer award, this award was created in 2024 in order to highlight one board member per year for their exceptional work on behalf of the journal. Candidates were chosen and assessed by the Editors-in-Chief in conjunction with the Publisher, and the recipient was chosen based on a number of factors including (but not limited to): number of papers handled during the year 2024, timeliness and responsiveness in terms of papers, and general engagement with the journal and journal-related activities.

We are pleased to announce that Karteek Alahari (Inria, France) was the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Editorial Board Member award!

2024 Outstanding Reviewer awards

In 2023, the International Journal of Computer Vision created an “Outstanding Reviewer award” program in order to celebrate and highlight reviewers in our community that provided exceptional service to the journal with their reviews.

Reviewers were assessed on a number of metrics, including (but not limited to) number of reviews performed during the year 2024, timeliness and responsiveness of reviews, as well as thoroughness of reviews. IJCV board members had an opportunity to submit the names of reviewers they thought were outstanding in terms of these categories, and the award finalists were chosen by the Editors-in-Chief based on the board members suggestions and feedback.

We are pleased to announce the 2024 IJCV Outstanding Reviewer award recipients:

• Evangelos Kazakos, Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics, Czechia 
• Ke Xu, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to these award winners as well as to all reviewers and IJCV board members who have contributed to the International Journal of Computer Vision. The 2025 award winners will be announced in early 2026.
