About the Editor

Mollie Painter
Mollie Painter is Professor of Ethics and Organisation and leads Nottingham Business School’s Responsible and Sustainable Business Lab (RSB Lab), a research centre covering business ethics, CSR, and sustainability. She is also an Extraordinary Professor at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, South Africa, and has had visiting professorships at HEC in Paris, ESCP Europe in Paris/ London, EDHEC in Lille, and multiple other universities across the globe. She runs various executive education programmes across Africa, and is the PI of research grant projects in partnership with a wide range of South African business schools.
Mollie’s current research focuses on ethics in complex organisational environments, drawing inspiration from European and African philosophies. She publishes in peer-reviewed journals such as Organization Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, and Business Ethics Quarterly, and authored a number of books, such as Business Ethics and Continental Philosophy, co-edited with René ten Bos (Cambridge University Press, 2011).
Frank den Hond
Frank den Hond, PhD, is the Ehrnrooth Professor in Management and Organisation at Hanken School of Economics (Helsinki, Finland) and affiliated with Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam, the Netherlans). He is currently Co-Editor of the Springer book series on ‘Issues in Business Ethics’ and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Business Ethics Quarterly (08/2021-07/2026), and a past Co-Editor-in-Chief of Organization Studies, (09/2013-08/2017). His work has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Business & Society, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Corporate Citizenship, Journal of Management Studies, and Organization Studies. He currently teaches business ethics and research methods at MSc and PhD levels.
